U8 Greenbush SC Academy (co-ed)

Our U8 junior academy provides new players the opportunity to work with US Soccer certified coaches to learn and develop individual skills in an environment that emphasizes community, character, and commitment.

Greenbush SC is excited about the 2024-2025 program and the changes that have been made.

Cost is $1,000

In addition to providing support for the club’s administrative and facility costs, registration includes:

•  80 +/- training sessions: September – June
• All costs associated with coaching and training
• All costs associated with CDYLS competitive league fall and spring outdoor seasons
• All costs associated with use of Afrim’s indoor training space for winter training sessions

Additional individual costs include:

• Travel uniform kits (home and away jerseys, practice jersey, pair of shorts, two pairs of socks) $125 +/-
• Afrim’s indoor season fees (1-3 sessions available, optional) $90 +/- each sessioin.
• Additional camps, clinics, and training offered to players (optional)

Additional team costs include:

• local and regional tournament costs

Schedule (does not include tournaments, which will be determined by individual teams):

• Summer: Travel program tryouts in late June; travel program invitations in early July.
• Fall: Fall CDYSL competitive league season begins in September, training sessions at Greenbush SC through end of October, training sessions at Columbia HS through end of November.
• ·Winter: Training sessions at Afrim’s indoor facilities through the end of February, training sessions at UAlbany through the end of March, Afrim’s indoor seasons run December through March (optional).
• Spring: Spring CDYSL and EDP competitive league seasons begin in April, training sessions at Greenbush SC through the end of June. 

Try Outs:

• Each year the club holds try outs for players interested in travel soccer. 
• The club has a "no cut" policy at U12 and below level, and makes every effort to not cut kids at any level. Cuts are only done when we do not have roster space for all interested players. That said, we create teams and rosters with player development and competitiveness in mind. 
• Our teams compete against some of the best competition in the Capital area and Northeast. At younger age levels, try outs are used by coaches to assess and evaluate players to ensure they are placed with the proper team.

Discounts:

• $50 discount for players/families who recruit new players to the travel program (new player must sign up)
• $50 sibling discount
• $300 discount to players/families whose parent serve as team manager (either refunded at the end of the season if they paid ahead, or would eliminate the last payment)
