JUNIOR ACADEMY

The Greenbush Junior Academy is designed to introduce our youngest players to the game of soccer.

• The focus at this level is development, by introducing basic ball mastery with the goal of becoming comfortable enough to control the ball both while stationary and in motion.
• The most important goal for our Junior Academy level is to have the players fall in love with the game, enjoy it so much that they will want to continue to play, learn, and develop.

U10-12

ACADEMY

The Greenbush Academy program is the next phase in our player pathway.

• At this important level, our players get introduced to the most basic forms of dribbling, first-touch, passing, and shooting.
• As they gradually develop and grow, at this age level, we will begin to introduce them to the most basic principles behind attacking, defending, spacing and field awareness.
• Commitment levels for those who are interested will increase, along with expectations for those players.

U12-14

PRE-PREMIER (HIGHLY COMPETITIVE)

The Greenbush Pre-Premier Level, our players become immersed into a more competitive level of training.

Expectations and commitment levels increase and are expected at this level.

• Focus shifts to more structured training.
• The technical aspect of the game shifts from basic ball mastery to ball mastery with a heavy focus on turns, dribbling, how to utilize the body effectively, proper runs on and off the ball, more complex insight into attacking and defending as well as the introduction of the 2 transitional phases of the game (transition from attack to defense, transition from defense to attack). 
• For those players interested in less commitment at this age level, if numbers allow we will offer a less competitive player pathway as well. (SEE BELOW)

NON PRE-PREMIER (LESS COMPETITIVE)

The Greenbush less competitive non pre-premier level, our players still become immersed into a more competitive level of training with same phases of training as our pre-premier players (described above), just with less commitment expectations.

U14-18

PREMIER (HIGHLY COMPETITIVE)

The Greenbush EDP Level is the most competitive phase in our player pathway.

Expectations and commitment levels increase and are expected at this level.

• Premier is for those players who are fully committed to train and play at the highest of levels the Capital Region and surrounding areas have to offer.
• Commitment level is expected to increase.
• Focus for players shifts from technical mastery to more tactical, physical, and mental awareness
• For those players interested in less commitment at this age level, if numbers allow we will offer a less competitive player pathway as well. (SEE BELOW)

NON-PREMIER (LESS COMPETITIVE)

The Greenbush less competitive non premier level, our players still become immersed into a more competitive level of training with same phases of training as our premier players (described above), just with less commitment expectations.
